Alaska DNR Land Sales

Alaska DNR Land Sales

The State of Alaska DNR Land Sales Programs offer land purchasing opportunities year-round. Their 2021 Sealed Bid Land Auction gives Alaska residents the chance to bid on over 200 parcels of land from around the state, including road-accessible parcels, parcels near the road system, and remote parcels. The bidding period is open from March 31 through September 28, 2021. The Auction event will follow the bidding period  on October 13, 2021. Bids can be placed via their website.

The DNR Land Sales Over-the-Counter Program is currently offering over 40 parcels from around Alaska, and they are sold first come, first served, to Alaskan Residents and non-residents alike. Purchasing is available via their website as well.

The 2021 Remote Recreational Cabin Sites Offering will begin later this year so keep an ear open for that date. This program offers Alaska Residents the opportunity to stake a remote parcel of land in a predetermined staking area. Participants lease their parcels while they are surveyed and appraised, and can be purchased when the lease ends. The application period will begin in mid-August. Stay tuned for details. Alaska DNR Land Sales also offers in-house financing for all sale programs and a once-in-a-lifetime 25% discount for eligible veterans.

Help us with the DNR Land Sales Survey! DNR is soliciting feedback about what kinds of land you would like to see offered in our Land Sales Programs, with a short 10 question survey. The online survey is open until April 30, 2021. Thank you for participating.
