Come experience some of Bristol Bay’s most diverse fisheries at your home base on Lake Aleknagik, located near the southern edge of Wood-Tikchik State Park, a short drive from Dillingham, Alaska.

Guests at Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge enjoy a serene, peaceful, atmosphere while at the lodge, and an adrenaline-filled, action-packed fishing adventure while on the water. Bearclaw Lodge combines the technical fishing know-how, with a family-run and oriented hospitality style, to produce a relaxing, diverse, and rewarding lodge experience. Alaska’s Bearclaw Lodge provides an intimate atmosphere with a maximum occupancy of 10 guests. Five guides on staff means that you will enjoy very personal attention with two guests attended by each guide.

The fishing in the area is outstanding. Not only is the sockeye and silver fishing excellent on our home waters, there is phenomenal dry fly fishing for rainbow trout and Arctic grayling during the right time. Additionally fly out to nearby rainbow streams or across to our sister property on the world famous Nushagak River for king salmon fishing are two options you can add on.

Guests fly into Dillingham and are greeted by our staff, driven to Lake Alegnagik and boated to our remote lodge admist stunning scenery. This is a family-friendly lodge you can feel safe bringing your kids to enjoy. Fishing in the Wood-Tikchik region of Bristol Bay is worth the trip.
