FishHound Expeditions

FishHound Expeditions is a guide owned and operated flyfishing outfitter that conducts fishing trips throughout AK. They guide float and wade day trips on the Parks Highway river systems for folks on an Anchorage layover or an extended stay.

They also offer one to six-day heli-fishing trips in southcentral Alaska. FishHound’s favorite guided trips are six- to ten-day float trips in western Alaska. Most recently their guide team has added steelhead trips on the Karluk River in Kodiak to their repertoire. These trips occur during the fall steelhead fishing in October.

On day trips they provide all gear, tackle, flies, hot lunch, and drinks (water, soda, & beer). On their multi-day trips they provide all terminal camping gear and fishing gear, great homemade food and desserts, and a reasonable amount of beer/wine. The only thing not included in the price of FishHound Expeditions trips is a fishing license.

For something different for all the people visiting Alaska in the winter, they are offering half day ice fishing excursions in and around Anchorage. They do all the work from setting up a shelter for your group to drilling holes, rigging and helping you fish.
